"Hail Mary..."

For those of you wondering why i have not been posting recently on my blog, I have been very focused on events currently unfolding in Burma (I refuse to call it Myanmar). For the past few weeks, Bhuddist monks have been leading protests against the Military Junta currently occupying the Nation's capital.

Well, those protests have turned violent, as the Junta fired shots into a crowd of protestors in the capital. The government has claimed only one death, while the Protestors say that there has been eight.

I know who I am going to believe in this.

For all of you wondering, "What can I do?" the answer is sadly not much.

My suggestion would be to encourage your Senators and Congressmen to send a resolution condmening the acts, and begin to demand a boycott/sanctions system on both Burma and China.

Why China? Because while the corrupt Libyan led Human Rights Comission may be full of the worst scum in the world in terms of HR Abuses, even they have passed resolutions calling for sanctions against the Junta. Only the People's Republic has been able to block these moves.

The best answer to this would be for the UN to recognize the Republic of China as the Republic of Taiwan, and give the Security Council seat back to the government to which it was named in the original UN charter. This way, only Russia will be there to obstruct the path of Democracy and Peace, and there are ways to bypass them and pressure the government into reform.

So people, readers, friends, please do all you can to stop these abuses and bring democracy into our world, write your Senators, your Congressmen, even the President.

Even contact the leaders of the International Democratic Union or G8, the numerous Christian Democrats in this Political Union would be glad to support sanctions on the Human Rights Abusers around the world.

The IDU consists of:
The Liberal Party of Australia
The Austrian People's Party
National Independence Party of Azerbaijan
Union of Democratic Forces (Bulgaria)
Conservative Party of Canada
The Chinese Natioanlist Party (KMT) (Needs to be replaced by Pan-Green's Head Party)
Chiles Indpendent Democratic Union and National Renewal Party
Conservative Party of Columbia
Croation Democratic Party
Democratic Rally (Cyprus)
The Civic Democratic Party in the Czech Republic
Germany's Christian Democrat Party and Christian Social Union
Conservative and Unionist Party in Great Britain
and the American Republican Party to name a few

There will be more on the International Democratic Union in my next post, along with my suggestions on how to change it for the better.
